Precious Plastic is my biggest project. Ever. By far. It started with an idea to provide people the tools to start working with plastic waste locally. Sounds simple right? So I simply started working on it. And halfway in you realise you miscalculated and the scope of the project is way to big for the amount of resources I have available. I’m not an organisation, I haven’t got an office full of people to help out or a stack of cash laying around.
Luckily along the way amazing people from all over the world pitched in and dedicated their precious time to push the project forward. Help to build the machines, webdesign or videos, but also organisations that dedicated time and effort. All trying to boost plastic recycling. Meet all those heroes here on this webpage. Have a look at them, seriously they deserve to be seen! The project wouldn’t be the same without them. Thanks!
And there is one person I want to give a big personal thanks. My bea, Lieke. For supporting, keeping faith, cooking nutrition meals to keep me going! All those long hours i’ve been spend in my workspace, melting plastic, making prototypes, not doing couple things. Noo, instead we visited landfills in Ghana. Thank you for giving me space to execute my ideas Lieke!
I’m lucky to be with you
