company visit - plastic shredding

Plastic shredding basically means chopping the plastic things into smaller pieces, so they can use it again.

Plastic shredding basicly means chopping the plastic things into smaller pieces, so they can use it again. From maxicosy to buckets to little yoghurt cups. But what noticed me is that all the stuff there is unused. It’s called post-industrial waste, stuff which is overproduced, not the right colour or just to warm up the plastic production machines. This is not just a couple, but really boxes full with maxi-cosy, bottles, cupholders etc. This plastic is never been outside factories, never on the market, never used. Don’t get me wrong it’s great that they recycle this,  but honestly I always thought “100% recycled plastic” was actually used plastic, from landfills…the dirty stuff
