Precious Plastic + TU Delft

Spinning toy, lamp, trashcan etc. is just a tiny fraction of what is actually possible with the Precious Plastic machines. That’s why we started working together with the TU/Delft!

This article is part of Precious Plastic, a One Army project tackling the plastic waste problem. You can learn more

As you know by now, we are building machinery to recycle plastic waste. With Version 1.0 we made a few examples of what you can make with it. Spinning toy, lamp, trashcan etc. But this is just a tiny fraction of what is actually possible with these machines. We would love to see what others come up, their creative solutions, moulds, samples, gradients, color blends etc. That’s why we started working together with the TU/Delft!

Separating plastic and mixing colors, like cooking.

Starting of with an in depth research about plastic and last week we also installed (the first set!) Precious Plastic V2.0 in their workspace in Delft. The machines will be used by the students who follow the Materials For Design Course, at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.

They are going to test, experiment, play, tweak, kill them and show us the -hopefully- wonderful things you can do with it.  We will keep you updated on these developments, or keep track of our forums, help out, get involved.
