Social media advice

I NEED your advice.

Dave and social media

About a year ago I was just a guy that recently graduated his design studies. I’ve done some projects, shared them on my Dreamweaver-build website and occasionally on Social Media. I had about 200 followers.

Suddenly overnight the Phonebloks-bomb kicked in. It was great, the news travelled all over the world in a matter of days. Within a week I ended up with over 200.000+ people following me on social media. Looking what I do and make.

I’m very grateful for this. Thanks to you guys sharing the Phonebloks idea all over the world the project became so serious. It also put me in the position to continue with my plastic project and build a community of engineers. Again,very grateful for that, and love that you guys made this happen.

But here is the thing, i’m not good in Social Media. I don’t have a personal Facebook myself (no feed), and a hard time keeping up all the tweets of the 21 accounts I follow on Twitter. I’m sure everyone of you out here reading this is better in it than me,

I NEED your advice

What to post:

There are several things I frequently do: Building things in my workshop, traveling and giving presentations, shooting videos, answering mails in the office, doing interviews and receive publications, working in the garden etc.  Lot’s of different things, I have no idea what interests you guys. Let me know below!

What to share?

Where to post it;

Also I have no clue what to post where. If I have a news update, share this on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,  Vine, Snapchat, Google+? Do I need to make specific content for each account?– where do I get the time.

How often share updates;

And the final hurdle how often post things, posting daily is the most effective to get followers. But I don’t need more followers, I want to keep you guys happy. Should I bother -that’s how it feels for me, with daily updates about my work, or post every now and then only the big updates?

Please share your thoughts in the comments below, I would love to know!
